On behalf of Government of India, National Unity Camp has been organized at BS Abdul Rahman University, BS Abdul Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Vandalur, Chennai (Tamil Nadu) from 19/06/2023 to 25/06/2023. All university teams from across India will participate in this camp. In this, a NSS program officer and 10 students will carry out the responsibility of inculcating the cultural traditions of the state of Maharashtra on behalf of Saint Gadge Baba Amravati University. Prof. Rohit Salkute Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy as program officer. has been selected on the orders of Dr. Rajeshji Burange (Coordinator, National Service Scheme, Amravati) and Dr. Pramod Yewle (Vice-Chancellor, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University) of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. Also, NSS volunteer of the college MR Kunal Vaishnav, Mr. Swapnil Sanap, Ms. Rucha Takalkar and Ms. Rituja Dhande has been selected.Our Santha President Hon. Mr. Dhripatraoji Savale asserte tha, It is certainly a matter of pride to get an opportunity to represent the college from the entire university in this national level camp, asserted. Also, Principal of college. All the students gathered at SGBAU on the 17th for preparation and guidance by Dr Rajesh Burange. and vice Chancellor Dr. Tushar Bhosale. After this Prof Rohit Salkute leaded team towards the destination. Team reached to Chennai at 19th June morning , where university busrevcieved us and we reached the crescent university at 11 am. They hostel rooms whereallotted to us. At 1 pm we had our lunch at the university canteen. Further we moved to the university seminar hall 2 for the documentation process. There they gifted us kit having NIC logo. For next day program we had practied a photo shoot. For volunteer’s entertainment purpose university students performed some cultural activities. Having dinner at 8 pm Then we proceed for practicing our next days performance, upto 10 pm.
On 20th morning after flag hosting and breakfast respected founder of “Prisidhi Foundation’’ Motivated NSS volunteers on thetopic of tree plantation. the governor of Chennai inaugurated the NIC camp as well as displayed the NIC logo. Later every state represented their respected culture through ramp walk. At 10:00 am a photo-shoot with the governor was done. 12:00 pm was the time scheduled for lunch and then we proceeded for our visit to TN sports university. Various sports fields were shown in he university. The cultural program started at 06:00 pm. Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra an west Bengal presented their cultural performances. It was memorable day to all as all state members were appreciated the performance of Team Maharashtra.
On the 21st morning , At morning 6am to 9 am, on the occasion of National Yoga Day , we volunteers participated in Worlds Young Achievers book of record. Where we did 9 Asans at 9 am for 9 min 9 sec were total 999 volunteers shows there enthusiastic participation. After returning to university, at 11 am we had a guidance session given by Ms. Brindha (CEO, Magic key, chennai) on the topic personal branding. After lunch there was visit arranged to the innovation and incubation centre. There they guided us about the start-up and Entrepreneur ship and had a discussion with us about our plans for start-up. In the evening about 6 pm there was cultural programs performed by Assam, Karnataka and Rajasthan in the university auditorium hall.
On 22/06/2023 Flag hoisting was done at 06:30 am in the morning. After that, NSS song was performed by our team members. At 09:30 am Meri life: massive tree plantation drive at Seetakati estate farmhouse Guduventury, Chennai. On the topic: “our prime minister our pride”, a guest lecture was organised at 11:30 am. 02:00 pm to 04:00 pm there was another guest lecture on the topic “leadership skills”. In this lecture some activities were conducted and it was told how to develop leadership. Kerala, Odisha and Tamil Nadu showcased their cultural programs at 06:00 pm.
On 23-06-2023 as per the routine, flag hosting was done at 6.30 in the morning. At 9.30 am in the seminar hall we attended the session of Mr Iianchezhain (Director, dept. of public policy, BSACIST), were he guided about the career in the civil services. At 11 am the next session was delivered by VERENDA RACE, Chennai , where they guided the volunteers about the career in banking and competitive examination. After having lunch at noon we attended more 2 back to back sessions of Mrs. P Shankari (zoo instructor Arignagar Anna of zoological park), on the topic transforming with nature, Ms Azeema Shahul (CEO Dessert hut, Chennai) on the topic focus in the age of distraction where she guided the youngsters about the misuse of social media, mobile phones and about their distractions. Around 4.30pm CIIC BSACIST delivered speech about topic startup India GOI schemes and G20. As per the schedule at 6 pm cultural program was preformed by jammu and Kashmir, Pondicherry and Gujarat state.
On 24/06/2023 Flag hosting and yoga were held at 06:30 am as usual. Then we left for Mahabalipuram at 09:00 am. There we visited “Cultural UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE”. After having lunch There we enjoyed the sea of “Bay of Bengal”. Then we reached crescent university at 05:00 pm. Instructions were given on valedictory function at 06:30 pm in the seminar hall.
On 25/06/2023, After flag hosting, . At 9am Dr. C. Samuel Chelliah (Deputy program advisory ministry of youth affairs and sports, Directorate of NSS New Delhi) he taught us about life by MM formula, true human being formula and five golden rules that everyone should apply in our life. After the wonderful session valedictory program was done. Here volunteers of all states were gratitude by delivering certificates and momentum and here the NIC was ended. After successful completion of camp Dr Rajesh Burange (NSS Coordinator) and Dr Shirish Jain (Principal, RSCP) were congratulated Mr Rohit Salkute all participants for representing state Maharashtra team gracefully.
