On March 10, 2025, AICTE leadership, including Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE and Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman of AICTE and Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has addressed institutions (online), emphasizing the need for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in academic environments, highlighting key AICTE and Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell initiatives. They addressed the key points which aligns with the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) action plan to create an ecosystem for innovation, entrepreneurship, start-ups, and intellectual property rights (IPR). Students and faculty from AICTE-approved institutions can benefit from schemes like ATAL POP programs, Innovation initiatives, IDEA Lab, and more.
