In today’s era of science and technology, even though everyone has a smartphone in their hands, books play a role in shaping personality and showing direction. Therefore, Principal Dr. S. P. Jain Sir appealed to students to consider books as their guru and read books regularly. The birth anniversary of Dr. A. R. Ranganathan was celebrated as Librarian Day at Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy here. He was speaking from the chair of the program.
Principal Dr. Jain Sir said, as the importance of knowledge has increased in today’s information age, the importance of knowledge management is also increasing.
India gave Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, a great personality who gave scientific and philosophical foundation to library science. Ranganathan’s thought, work and the library and information science curriculum created are equally important and effective in today’s digital age. Students should make good use of this for their personality development.
The program was moderated by Prof. Dahake Madam and the program was attended by Dr. Kendre Sir, Dr. Kewatkar Sir, Dr. Gavai Sir as well as Librarian Vinod Patil Sir, Mhaske Madam, Raut Sir were present. Dr. Bhusari Sir proposed the vote of thanks for the program.
