On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a grand Unity Walk was organized today in Buldhana city by MyBharat (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports) in collaboration with Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana. Students, NSS volunteers, and citizens participated enthusiastically, filling the atmosphere with patriotic energy through spirited slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.”
The program was organized under the guidance of the District Collector. The event was chaired by Dr. Shirish Jain (Principal, Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy). The chief guests present were B. S. Mahankar (District Sports Officer), Dhananjay Chafekar (Mera Yuva Bharat, Buldhana), Dr. Prakash Kendre (IQAC Head, RSCP), and Hanumant Bhosale (District NSS Coordinator).
Anchoring for the event was efficiently handled by Nidhi Borekar and Pranjali Mapari.
The program began with a floral tribute to the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Students from Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Pankaj Laddad Institute of Technology, and Jijamata College, along with NSS volunteers and a large number of citizens, participated in the Unity Walk.
Principal Dr. Shirish Jain delivered an inspiring address and administered the Unity Pledge to all participants. Chief guest B. S. Mahankar urged students to remain mentally, physically, and emotionally strong, and to draw inspiration from the leadership qualities and dedication of Sardar Patel.
Patriotic songs presented during the event received an enthusiastic response from the audience. The chief guests then flagged off the Unity Walk, which proceeded along the route:
RSCP – Sundarkhed Stop – Kothari Showroom – Trisharan Chowk.
The program concluded with the National Anthem.
To ensure the success of the event, Pranit Sangvikar (District Youth Officer – Mera Bharat), Akash Chafekar, Akash Salok, and Prof. Rohit Salkute (NSS Program Officer) worked with dedication.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Rohini Jadhala and Meenal Gaur.
