71 Students Pledge Organ Donation on the Occasion of Dhrupadraoji Sawale Saheb’s Birthday

The birthday of Dhrupadraoji Sawale Saheb (Bhau), a renowned social leader known for his dedicated contribution to society, was celebrated in a meaningful and socially responsible manner by Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana. Sawale Saheb, who has served as President of Dwarka Bahuuddeshiya Gramin Vikas Foundation, former Zilla Parishad President, and former MLA, is widely respected across the state for his visionary leadership, humble nature, and commitment to social welfare.
On this special occasion, the college organized various health camps and awareness activities at Malvihir Zilla Parishad School. The initiatives included a free health check-up camp for villagers, hemoglobin and blood group testing, and a dental check-up camp. Villagers expressed their satisfaction as expert medical services were made available free of cost in the rural area.
During the felicitation program, Principal Dr. Shirish Jain highlighted the social, educational, and political contributions of Sawale Saheb and delivered an inspiring address to the gathering. He encouraged everyone to contribute towards social welfare by following the principle, “Service to society is service to God.” The health camps were successfully conducted with the support of Dr. Dhananjay Bhusari, Dr. Rashmi Lokhande, and Dr. Gayatri Savji.
A major highlight of the event was the pledge taken by 71 students of the college for posthumous organ donation and eye donation. The initiative was appreciated as a significant step toward creating positive social change and giving a new lease of life to many people in the future. It was also mentioned that Sawale Saheb has always promoted awareness about the importance of organ donation in society.
Continuing its annual tradition, the college also organized blood donation camps, health camps, and several social welfare activities as part of the birthday celebration. This year’s programs witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members alike.
All department heads, teaching and non-teaching staff, and a large number of students were present during the event. The entire program was successfully organized by Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy.
Overall, the initiatives conducted on the occasion of Sawale Saheb’s birthday reflected a strong sense of social responsibility and served as an inspiration for the youth to actively participate in community welfare activities.
