NSS unit of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy along with volunteers of SGABU University attended Aavhan 2023 which was convener by Governor of Maharashtra and organized by GondwanaUniversity, Gadchiroli.
Along with 25 volunteers of Buldhana District including our NSS Volunteers Mr. Rohit Kapse, Mr Saurav Jadhao, Miss. Bharati Barhate & Miss Karishma Patel along with Mr. Swapnilkumar Kale(Male PO, Shri Shivaji Senior College, Chikhli) and Mrs. Nayana Gaware (Female PO , Narayanrao Nagre College Dusarbid) went to Gadchiroli. by the orders of Dr. Vishnu Padval(NSS District coordinator, Buldhana) and Dr. Nilesh Kadu(NSS coordinator, SGBAU Amaravati ). Duration of camp was 25th Dec 2023- 03th Jan 2024.
In this camp, day was started with Physical Training, Yoga under and guidance of NDRF teachers followed by Healthy breakfast. After that Inaugural program was held under the president ship governor of Maharashtra of Mr. Ramesh Bais and Vice Chancellor of Dr.Prashant Bokare. Many dignitaries were presentat this moment. After lunch, teaching Sessions were started under guidance of Mr. Dharmendra Saveda(Inspector, NDRF), Mr. Ganesh Deshmukh(NDRF), Mr. Swapnil Gore(NDRF) , Mr. Ishwar Mate(NDRF), Mr. Gajanan Surmare, Mr. Ramkrushna Shelke (NDRF)and Mr. Sushantkumar Sethi(NDRF). In this camp they were practically taught various rescue technique, preparedness during disasters like Earthquake, landslide, Flood, Tsunami, Cyclone, Cloudburst, Thundering, Lightning, Drought, Cold and Heat Wave. They also taught basic search and rescue technique, Rope rescue technique, Fire safety, Forest Fire. They were practically demonstrated BLS – CPR technique and trained NSS volunteers, which will be work as Medical First Responder if emergency arises. They were also explained safety measures during Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Emergencies. Rally of All University volunteers were explored scene of Gajanan Maharaj palakhi , Farmer Coulples and Jija mata which were born in Buldhana district. On the basis of overall performance on ground, discipline maintained throughout camp, theory exams and participation in various activities we got First Prize of Best District Program Officer of NSS in valedictory fuction by hand MLA Shri Vijay Vadattiwar sir in Aavhan 2023. It was very well organized event under the coordinator Dr. Shyam Khandare(NSS Coordinator, Godwana University) and Dr. Nilesh Pathak(State Coordinator , NSS DTE , Mumbai) . With lots of memories and Joy of Winning First Prize among all Disrict PO of Maharashtra state , All team members returns to home town. Principal of Rajarshi Shahu College of pharmacy Dr. Shirish Jain were appreciated efforts taken by all team of Buldhana and guided them to pass awareness massage to society regarding disaster management. At this time Dr Prakash Kendre, Dr. Dipak Bhusari , Mr. Rohit Salkute(NSS Program Officer), Mr Satish Shelke, Mrs. Shenal Deshmane were present.
