Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati organized the Research Convention for Students – Aavishkar 2024 at the university level for participants selected from the district level. The event was held on 23rdand 24thDecember 2024 at SGBAU, Amravati.
A total of 17 groups (Across the various categories at 3 in UG, 10 in PG, and 4 in PPG Level) from Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy (RSCP), Buldhana were selected at the district level to compete in the university-level Aavishkar 2024.The first round of poster presentations took place on 23rdDecember 2024, where 12 groups (2-UG, 7-PG, and 3-PPG) advanced to the second round of oral presentations held on 24th December 2024.Ultimately, 6 groups (1-UG, 4-PG, and 1-PPG) secured ranks at the university level and were selected for the State Level Aavishkar 2024-25.

- Medicine and Pharmacy Category
- Sachin Borikar (Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology) presented his work on project titled “Empagliflozin Improves CUMS Induced Depression in Diabetic Mice Possibly via CRF-1 Receptor” and secured First Rank at PPG Level. Guided by Dr. Shirish Jain, Principal, RSCP, Buldhana.
- Omeshwari Ashok Bandole and Bhagyashri Kailas Auti presented a poster titled “Pharmacological Evaluation of ClitoriaTernetea Flower Extract on Letrozole Induced Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome: A Comprehensive Study in Female Wistar Rats” and secured Third Rank at PG Level. Guided by Manisha Jawale, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology.
- Shubham Rajusing Rathod and Ganesh Anna Jadhao presented a model titled “Innovative Restraining Device for Stress-Free Intravenous Administration in Mice and Rats” and secured First Rank at UG Level. Guided by Vaishnavi Patil, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology.

- Pranav Santosh Zore and Supriya PralhadKhartude presented a project titled “Antidepressant Potential of Empagliflozin in Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Depression in Diabetic C57BL/6 Mice” and secured First Rank at PG Level. Guided by Prof. Sachin Borikar, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology.

- Nikita Kacharu Gadekar and Sakshi Rajendra Chavat presented a project titled “Towards Sustainable Packaging: Innovations in Agricultural By-Products and the Role of Sugarcane Bagasse” and secured First Rank at PG Level. Guided by Dr. Deepak Lokwani, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
- Engineering and Technology Category
- Mansi Ganesh Karnade and Vishal Baban Rajguru presented a poster titled “Development of an Improved Tail Suspension Apparatus for Behavioral Analysis in Rodents” and secured First Rank at PG Level. Guided by Dr. Shailesh Kewatkar, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy.
All six groups will represent Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati at the State Level Inter-University Research Convention – Aavishkar2024-25.
