Dr. Shirish Jain, Principal of the institution and President of the IIC, presided over the session.
During his address, Mr. Wairagade emphasized the importance of early planning and strategic preparation for competitive exams. He elaborated on the types of jobs available in the state, central, and local government sectors, as well as in semi-government and public sector undertakings (PSUs), including contractual positions. A clear understanding of the exam syllabus, referring to previous year question papers, and adopting topic-wise study plans were among the key preparation strategies discussed. He also introduced students to the option elimination method, a useful technique in multiple-choice exams such as UPSC, MPSC, and other government recruitment tests.

Mr. Wairagade highlighted promising career roles such as Drug Inspector under the FDA, FDA Scientific or Technical Officer, Government Analyst in approved drug testing laboratories, and Government Pharmacist positions in hospitals managed by state health departments, railways, and defense services. He also spoke about academic opportunities in government pharmacy colleges for M.Pharm and Ph.D. holders and regulatory positions in organizations like CDSCO, IPC, NIPER, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. These roles offer excellent job stability, structured salary packages, and benefits like pensions, healthcare, and professional growth.
The session was highly interactive, with enthusiastic participation from students who expressed keen interest in the guidance provided. Several queries related to job roles, eligibility, and preparation techniques were addressed by the speaker in detail.
