Expert talk on “Protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and IP Management for Startups”

Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldana’s Institution Innovation Council (IIC) organized an expert talk on “Protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and IP Management for Startups” for B. Pharm and M. Pharm students on 26th April 2025. The session was inaugurated by the respected Vice-Principal, Dr. Prakash Kendre, who welcomed the expert speaker, Mr. Biswajit Biswal, a seasoned IP Consultant with over a decade of experience in the field of Intellectual Property Law.
Mr. Biswajit began his talk by highlighting the significance of Intellectual Property Rights in the innovation ecosystem, particularly for students and aspiring entrepreneurs. He explained the different forms of IP, such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights, and how they serve as critical tools for protecting original ideas. He offered deep insights into the process of IP creation and management. The speaker emphasized how strategic IP planning is essential for startups, research scholars, and innovators. Real-life examples and practical advice made the session highly engaging and informative.
The M. Pharm students expressed their gratitude to Mr. Biswajit Biswal, for his practical insights and the motivation to pursue their own innovative ideas within the startup ecosystem. Overall, the program was successful in achieving its objectives by equipping students with essential knowledge of IPRs.
