Today on this day in 1960 Maharashtra has been recognized as a state. The Samyukta Maharashtra movement was not an ordinary movement. It was fought extraordinarily for a period of almost 5 years. The impact of the movement was so tremendous that the ruling party and the political leaders were exposed. The movement involved common man with the huge participation by women. 106 people sacrificed their lives for the sake of a state, today we called, Maharashtra. It is the moment to remember all those “HUTATMA” because of whom we are a state of India. We have celebrated the Maharashtra divas at our campus. Flag hoisting was conducted at the hand of hon’ble Smt. Padmatai Sawale, Secretary , DBGVF, Buldhana. Dr. Shirish Jain (Principal) , All HOD’s, Teaching , Non Teaching Staff and students were present at this moment at Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana.
