NSS unit of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy along with volunteers of SGBAU university attended Aavhan 2022 which was convener by Governer of Maharashtra and organized by Kaviyatri bahinabai Chaudhary North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.
25 volunteers of Buldhana District along with Mr. Rohit Salkute(Male PO, Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy) and Mrs. Poonam Ingale (Female PO , Vidyan Mahavidyalaya , Malkapur) went to Jalgaon by the orders of Dr. Rajesh Burange(NSS coordinator, SGBAU Amaravati ) and Dr. Vishnu Padval(NSS District coordinator, Buldhana) to represent in Aavhan. Duration of camp was 18th Dec 2022- 28th Dec 2022.
In this camp, day was started with Physical Training, Yoga under and guidance of NDRF teachers followed by Healthy breakfast. After that Inaugural program was held under the presidentship governor of Maharashtra of Mr. Bhagat singhji Koshari and Vice Chancellor of KBCNMU Dr. V.L. Maheshwari sir. Many dignitaries were present at this moment. After lunch, teaching Sessions were started under guidance of Mr. Dharmendra Saveda(Inspector, NDRF), Mr. Ganesh Deshmukh(NDRF), Mr. Devidas Gite(NDRF) and Mr. Yogesh Bari(NDRF). In this camp they were practically taught various rescue technique, preparedness during disasters like Earthquake, landslide, Flood, Tsunami, Cyclone, Cloudburst, Thudering , Lightning, Drought, Cold and Heat Wave. They also taught basic search and rescue technique, Rope rescue technique, Fire safety, Forest Fire. They were practically demonstrated BLS – CPR technique and trained NSS volunteers, which will be work as Medical First Responder if emergency arises. They were also explained safety measures during Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Emergencies. Cultural program was also arranged on the theme of Disaster management and Aazadi ka Amrutmohotsav in which volunteers were given outstanding performance. And in Rally of All University volunteers were explored scene of Gajanan Maharaj palakhi and Jija mata which were born in Buldhana district. On the basis of overall performance on ground, discipline maintained throughout camp, theory exams and participation in various activities , we got First Prize of Best University of NSS in valedictory fuction of Aavhan 2022. It was very well-organized event under the guidance of coordinator Dr. Ramesh Pawar(KBCNMU) and Dr. Sachin Nandre(NSS coordinator , KBCNMU, Jalgaon) . All staff members and volunteers of KBCNMU worked hard to make this camp successful. With lots of memories and Joy of Winning First Prize among all university of Maharashtra state , all team members returns to hometown. Principal of Rajarshi Shahu College of pharmacy,Dr. Shirish Jain was appreciated efforts taken by all team members of Buldhana and guided them to pass awareness massage to society regarding disaster management.
