Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati has been organized Research Convention for Students – Avishkar 2023 at university level for participants selected on district level at SGBAU, Amravati on dated 26-27 Dec 2023. The 10 groups of entries (3-UG, 6-PG and 1-PPG category) from Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy (RSCP), Buldhana has been selected at district level and invited to participate at university level in various category. A first round of poster presentations was held on December 26th, 2023, and our five groups (2-UG, 2-PG, and 1-PPG) passed this round and qualified for the second round of oral presentations on December 27th, 2023. In Medicine and Pharmacy Category, our student Kasmira Malusare presented a poster and oral presentation on topic “Nootropic and scopolamine induced anti-amnesic effect of empagliflozin in wistar rats possible involvement of M1 receptor by molecular docking studies” and secured a third rank at PG level. She was working under the guidance of Prof. Sachin Borikar, Assistant Professor from Department of Pharmacology. Prof. Sachin Borikar himself also secured a second rank at PPG level for presenting his research work on title “Empagliflozin Amellionates OBX induced depression in diabetic rodents: Possible Involvement of BDNF”. He was guided by Dr. Shirish Jain sir, Principal, RSCP, Buldana. In Pure Science category, Namrata More and Mayuri Chavan presented a poster title “Nano emulsion based transdermal delivery of curcumin and capsaicin: an innovative approach for treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis” and secured a second rank in PG level. They were guided by Dr. Prakash Kendre, Vice-Principal, RSCP, Buldhana.
All three groups will represent Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, at the state level inter university Research Convention for Students – Avishkar 2023.
