“Say No To Ragging” Campaign by RSCP’s Anti Ragging Cell

In line with the directives given by the UGC National Anti-ragging Monitoring Agency and Centre for Youth (C4Y), the Anti-ragging Cell of RajarshiShahu College of Pharmacy is observing Anti-ragging Week from 12 August 2025 to 18 August 2025. Notably, 12 August is celebrated as Anti-ragging Day across the country. Following the guidelines given by the UGC to create awareness among students regarding the harmful effects of ragging and to promote a culture of respect, harmony and safety of students in the campus the Anti-ragging cell of institute has planned various activities through this-week long observance.
The Honourable Principal of RajarshiShahu College of Pharmacy, Dr.Shirish Jain, provides the address to the enrolled students of the institute that ragging is a social evil that not only hampers a student’s career but also puts their life at risk. He also encouraged students to participate into the National Contest 2025 organised by the UGC and C4Y. Also provided guidelines and suggestions to the faculty and students for organising Anti-ragging awareness related activities
As part of the Anti-ragging week celebrations, institute successfully organised the following activities:
On 12 August, the Anti-ragging Day was celebrated by Screening of short films/TVCs to students available at the Anti-ragging website. On the basis of these videos featured, the anti-ragging committee co-ordinator Mr. DhirajKayande discussed with the students on the dangers of ragging, also highlighted the importance of fostering a supportive and respectful campus culture. A creative selfie point was also placed in the campus to raise awareness about maintaining a ragging-free environment, through these activity students were encouraged to take photos and upload it to their social media account with the hashtag #YaARIYouthAgainstRagging to spread the message against ragging and express their support for a safe and inclusive campus.
On date 13 August 2025 & 14 August 2025, the second and third day of week was celebrated by conducting a Slogan writing competition and Poster making competition. The events were designed to raise awareness about the importance of creating a safe and inclusive campus environment. These competitions aimed to engage students in meaningful discussion and promote a culture of respect and mutual understanding within the college community. The students participated enthusiastically in these competitions.
