A seminar on Opportunities and Challenges in Pharmacy was conducted successfully on Wednesday 4th Dec 2024, in seminar hall. An esteemed distinguished guest Mr. Himanshu Joshi, Research Scientist, Lead New Product Launch, Generic and Biologicals, Dr. Reddys Laboratory Princeton, New Jersey, USA conducted this seminar. Firstly, our guest has taken a college tour, and he was very impressed with the facilities available with this institute which is in a remote area. In seminar Hall, program introduction was given by Dr. Ashish A. Gawai, HoD & PG, Academic co-ordinator, Dept. of Pharm Chemistry. Our Guest was welcome with a Bouquet by Respected Dr. Shirish Jain Sir, Chairman of the function and Principal, Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldana. After welcome, Guest Introduction was given by Dr. Ashish A. Gawai, followed by speech of a chairman of function by Dr. Shirish Jain Sir. Dr. Prakash Kendre, Vice-Principal, HoD, Department of Pharmaceutics, and Mr. Somnath Vibhute, OSD and T&P Officer, Rajarshi College of Pharmacy, Buldana, was present on the dias for the said program.
Mr. Himanshu Joshi has started interaction with students with sharing his experience and his journey towards Research scientist post in industry. In his speech and interactions, he touches many areas of pharmacy industry. Also, he talked about students Comfort Zone, Different examples of Technology Transfer in pharmaceutical industry. Student’s communications for effective way of presentation, setting up of interview skills, Packaging areas are important uncovered area and may be area of interest in future. Also, main area of discussion for students is Integrity of work which is very much needed for individual students in workplace. Mr. Himanshu Joshi has also talked about development of skills by using some soft skill courses like free courses of NPTEL or Howard University and lastly, he focused on Attitude of students towards Job. In Question-and-Answer session, many students interacted friendly with Guest lecture by asking several questions in different areas of pharmacy. After completion of seminar, program was concluded on a positive note and Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Ashish A. Gawai.
