On behalf of the local Jijamata College, a lecture on the contribution of the Maharshi Dr Punjabrao Upakhya Bhausaheb Deshmukh in Nation Building was organized at Rajarshi Shahu Pharmacy College Buldhana on 26th August 2023. It has been decided to organize and plan 125 lectures under the guidance of Bhaiya Saheb Deshmukh, President of Shri Shivaji Shikshan Sanstha Amravati, on the centenary silver jubilee anniversary of India’s first Minister of Agriculture and the founder of Shri Shivaji Shikshan Sanstha Amravati Dr. Punjabrao Upakhya Bhausaheb Deshmukh. It is a resolution to organize these lectures in Maharashtra in Vidarbha and outside Vidarbha in addition to Shree Shivaji Shikshan Sanstha to every senior college in the institute. Jijamata College has organized today’s lecture to celebrate the success of this lecture.
The program was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Shirish Jain.. Prof. Shailesh Kevatkar of College of Pharmacy presided over and Dr. Prashant Kothe, Principal of Jijamata College as Chief Guest, Prof. Babasaheb Bhonde, Life member of the institute, Prof. Subodh Chinchole, Prof. Dr. Suresh Gavai was the chief speakers. Therefore, Prof Dr J J Jadhav, Head of Department of Political Science was present.
Principal Dr. Prashant Kothe introduced the program. He elaborated the role of Shri Shivaji Shikshan Sanstha behind organizing the lecture based on the life and work of Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh. Prof. Dr. JJ Jadhav highlighted the overall work of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh in nation building while guiding as the keynote speaker. On this occasion, he gave analytical guidance to Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh about education, agriculture, elimination of untouchability, work in the constitution committee.
For the success of the program Prof. Sanjay Salve of Jijamata Colleges, Prof. Dr. Vikas Pahurkar, Prof Rohit Salkute, Prof. Deepak Bhusari of Pharmacy Colleges, Prof. Satish Shelke, Prof. Rishikesh Divare, Prof. Snehal Deshmane, a student of National Service Scheme, took the effort. The program was moderated by Prof. Rohit Salkute, Head of National Service Scheme and vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Dr. Suresh Gavai. At the beginning of the program, Dr. Prashant Kothe, Principal of Jijamata College and Prof. Babasaheb Bhonde, Life Member of Shri Shivaji Education Institute, presented a portrait of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh and a book on his life and work to Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy.
