Voters’ Day was celebrated in the RSCP

Voters’ Day was celebrated in the college on behalf of the National Service Scheme Team of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy Buldhana under Dwarka Multipurpose Rural Development Institute, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, India, and the Office of the District Buldhana Election Officer, Buldhana. The program began with the lighting of the lamp. On the occasion of this day, a Rangoli and Painting Competition was organized in the college on the topic of “Voter Awareness”. Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan sponsored this activity. After this, the program was chaired by Principal Dr. Shirish Jain, who was the president of program. Chief guest, Shri. Vitthal Kumre (Tehsildar, Buldhana), Shri. Prakash Dabba (Naib Tehsildar), Shri. Shashikant Wagh (Naib Tehsildar), Dr. Archana Arakh (Social Worker), Mrs. Vijaya Tayde (Legal Advisor), Shri Ajayji Rajput (Program Officer, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangtan) were welcomed with a bouquet on behalf of the college. After this, Shri Vitthal Kumare (Tehsildar, Buldhana) explained the importance of voting to everyone present and administered the oath of voting to everyone. After this, Mrs. Vijaya Tayde challenged the students to go out into the society and create awareness to prevent female foeticide. Dr. Archana Arakh highlighted that today’s youth generation should not fall prey to tobacco and other addictions, but should keep themselves away from various types of addictions and guide others to get rid of addiction. Shri Ajay Rajput explained how Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangtan provides a platform for implementing various government schemes through the youth, and also stated that the youth should launch a campaign on addiction freedom, female foeticide and voter awareness. After this, the winners of the Rangoli competition and Poster competition organized on the occasion of this day were awarded prizes and certificates by the dignitaries. In this, the first place in the Rangoli competition was won by Dr. Vikram Munjewar and Dr. Abhijit Kakade, the second place by Ms. Samruddhi Wadekar and Ms. Sakshi Bhondekar, the third place by Ms. Chanchal Kalantri and Ms. Pallavi Jadhav, and the first place in the Poster competition was won by Ms. Payal Rathod and Ms. Madhavi Raut, the second place by Ms. Renuka Sonalkar, and the third place by Ms. Rutuja Ubale. After this, in his presidential speech, Dr. Shirish Jain assured the attendees that on behalf of the National Service Scheme Team, the students of our college will definitely go to the society and try to do social service by organizing campaigns for freedom from addiction, awareness on female foeticide, and voter awareness. The program was conducted by Prof. Rohit Salkute, while the vote of thanks was given by Prof. Deepak Bhusari. For the success of the program, Prof. Prakash Kendre, Prof. Shailesh Kewatkar, Prof. Manisha Jawale, Prof. Satish Shelke, Shri Amol Rave, Shri Pandurang Bhosale, Shri Majid Khan were there to support us. All the volunteers of the NSS worked hard for the success of the program.
