National Service Scheme unit of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldana has organized AIDS awareness program on 20 th August. In association of Maharastra State AIDS Control Organisation(MSACO). On this ocession Mr. Pramod Tale Sir, D.A.P.C.U. District Civil Hospital, Buldana & Miss. More Madam D.A.P.C.U. District Civil Hospital, Buldana was present as guest speaker. The main objective of this program was to create awareness about HIV/AIDS and its possible causes, prevention of the disease, mitigation of the impact of HIV/AIDS.
Mr. Pramod Tale Sir, address the students, he said that our country occupies the 3rd place on the globe so far as HIV infected population is concerned. He expressed that 86% of HIV is because of sexual contacts. He urged the students to make our country ‘AIDS FREE’. For this programme Dr. P. N. Kendre HOD of pharmaceutics Dept. Were present as president. NSS Incharge Ubarhande, all staff members, NSS volunteers & B. Pharm students were present.
