On behalf of the NSS team of Rajarshi Shahu College, various social useful programs are always conducted. Also, volunteers are always at the forefront to serve the needy. One such information came back to a Jadhav family in Buldhana. One of them relative was in need of blood. Outside the hospital, he was wondering how to manage so much blood in a moment. Mr Suyog Shelke and his friends(Our B.Pharmacy Students) were watching all this. Before he says if he needs Dada blood on his own we are ready as a donor, you just let us know how many students of which blood group you need and we will immediately make it available to you on behalf of our NSS team. In a moment, the pressure on that person’s head disappeared. Immediately Suyog Shelke along with Abhishek Adhav, Prathamesh Dabwagaon and Aditya Kakad (all B Pharmacy third year) donated blood for him and helped to save the person’s life. The relative of the patient told NSS program officer Prof. Rohit Salkute Heartfelt thanks to your students for saving our life by donating blood for our patient by contacting. College Principal Dr Shirish Jain also appreciated the punctuality of all NSS volunteers and the great work done by selfmotivation.
In accordance with this, seeing the shortage of blood in the blood bank in the college on 08 Nov. A blood donation camp was organized in the college on 2023. The team of government blood bank was invited at college. The said blood donation camp was inaugurated by the principal of the college, Dr. Shirish Jain. At this time Dr Prachi Madam,Dr Rajput (Government Blood Bank) , Prof. Dr. Prakash Kendra, Prof. Dr. Vijay Borkar, Prof. Dr. Shailesh Kevatkar, Prof. Dr. Subhash Deshmane and Prof. Somnath Vibhute were present. All the students donated blood enthusiastically. For this, the help of the blood bank was received on the order of the district surgeon of the government. Every donor received a certificate on behalf of the government blood bank for participating in this blood donation camp. This blood donation camp was organized by NSS program officer Prof. Rohit Salkute, Prof. Dr. Deepak Bhusari, Prof. Satish Shelke and Prof Snehal Deshmane. Brekafast and Tea was served to every donor after his/her blood donation. All the NSS volunteers worked hard to make this donation camp successful.
